This policy describes how Airgun Clubs UK (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use airgunclubs.co.uk (the “site”). It is intended to help you understand our practices in line with UK data protection law (including the UK GDPR).
The site is operated as Airgun Clubs UK. For privacy-related questions, use the contact form or the details you have been given separately if you correspond with us by email.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process technical data when you request pages (for example IP address, browser type, date/time, and URL). We do not use that data ourselves beyond what the host needs to deliver and secure the service, unless we add analytics later—in which case we will update this page.
If you use the contact form, we collect the information you enter: typically your name, email address, and message. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry (our lawful basis is legitimate interests in operating the site and communicating with users, and where needed consent for any optional processing we describe at the point of collection).
Messages are sent by email to the address configured for the site. We do not use your contact details for marketing unless you ask us to and we make that clear.
The contact page may set a short-lived session cookie so we can protect the form with a security token (CSRF). That cookie is not used to track you across other sites.
We do not currently run first-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Parts of the site load resources or call services run by others. Those providers process data under their own policies:
We choose widely used services to run the site reliably; we do not sell your personal data to them.
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, unless we must retain them longer for legal or security reasons (for example resolving a dispute).
Under UK data protection law you may have rights including: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, where applicable. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do; material changes may also be highlighted on the site where practical.
